Employees were encouraged to donate throughout the month, with all collected items distributed in the community. The initiative supported the health plan’s broader focus on maternal and infant health while giving employees a simple, meaningful way to help local parents and caregivers.

Dean Health Plan by Medica is also helping build healthier communities through long-term partnerships and strategic investments across Wisconsin.
In Madison, Dean/Medica’s Adopt-a-School partnership with Muir Elementary in collaboration with the Madison Public Schools Foundation, combines a $50,000 investment with ongoing employee volunteerism. Team members spend time reading with students, assisting teachers, supporting school projects, and creating positive playground experiences that help children thrive both academically and socially.
Further north in the Fox Valley, Medica has invested $400,000 in community-based health initiatives alongside Partnership Community Health Center and local grassroots organizations. These collaborations help connect families with primary care, mental health services, health education, transportation resources, and other essential support while removing barriers that can prevent people from accessing care. Community health workers and trusted local partners also provide culturally responsive outreach designed around the needs of the communities they serve.
